How is Intergroup organized?
Greater Seattle Intergroup has a Board of Directors consisting of five officers (four elected every two years, in even years: Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary). The fifth officer, the Chair Emeritus, is the immediate Past Chair.
In addition to the officers, each zone within King County and Southwest Snohomish County has a Zone Representative who votes on the Board. Current zones are: 101, 108, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 124, 131, 132, 133, 140, 141 and 142.
The Office Staff consists of a paid Office Manager, 32 hours per week, and a paid Assistant Office Manager, 36 hours per week. Intergroup engages the services of more than 150 volunteers to answer the phones 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The standing service committees are Corrections, Hospital & Treatment, PI/CPC and Accessibility. In addition, there are support committees: Office, Finance, Web & Tech, Third Legacy, Nightwatch, Special Events, Archivist and the Editor of the High & Dry newsletter.
We extend an invitation to anyone who would like to participate. The Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at:
5507 6th Ave South, Seattle, WA 98108
